Well all of here at Drifting VA have been loafing really hard. Tom, Hans, Felix, and myself have been doing a lot of stuff and have just neglected the blog. We hope to stay on track and this post as motivation for the others to post as well.
In other news my project car, Moarlow, has come to hault because of money issues. I parted most of the parts I have put in and sold the car to hans. I have thoughts of buying another accord one day but not anytime soon.
For now I'll just spend time working, saving up money, and possibly working on my corolla. Coilovers and wheels soon. I can't have a stock height car, I need moarlow in my life again.
It's that time of the year again, its hot out, parties and nice cars out everywhere. So what I'm getting at is the HYPERFEST event, its on June 18 its a two day event. Most people go and stay the night out there in a tent. The first night is just a big party, you set up camp/campfire pregame then walk around and basically party hop through the night. I went last year it was a lot of fun and most definitely recommend this event, so if you can take the time to make it go out there.
I was able to witness this fight it was dope and funny as shit and loved the announcers comments lol.
The main drifting event
Couldn't find a video of the partying going on at night but trust me you will have a good time.
Sorry for the late update. There was a Drift Nirvana last week on sunday which i finally attended with my own car, which didn't end well for me. Any ways we started preparing for the event on Saturday before the event, cleaning cars and finishing up any last min repairs. Most of our group ended up going to sleep around 3:30 in the morning we all stayed at tommy's crib. The event started at 9:00 so we all woke up at 6:00 am, got breakfast, money, and gas before we all met up at tyson's at the top of the parking lot.
My new car
A bunch of the cars that met up at Tyson's
After we meet up at Tyson's and mingled for a while until just about everyone made it there, we left and headed down to WV to the track. It took us about an hour to get down there going straight down RT 7. When we finally got there it was $10 bucks to get in just to spectate, $20 for the wet track (big circle that gets sprayed down with water, $150 for all the circuits. I only did the wet track due to how bad my car was tuned on the SAFC 2. Here are some pics Felix and I, and a few other random people at the event.

These events are always fun, weather your driving your own car or riding shotgun in a friends. Great people, food is pretty good, lots of great cars. I would recommend everyone to give a event a try, whether you like cars/drifting, its a good experience and a hell of a story to tell.
A sort vid of people drifting at the event.
So toward the end of the event I started to get bored of the wet track and tried drifting the dry track, even tho I knew I shouldn't have, because of how bad my car was tuned. But I did it anyways because everyone that knows me, knows I don't give a fuck. Anyways long story short I took my new car out, tried to get it side ways ( succeeded once) and blew my motor because i kept trying, lol. Even tho that happen the event was tons of fun. I will keep you guys posted on the upcoming events and give a heads up this time around.
Thanks to ELMER and KEVIN for the pics and however took BOBBY'S pic.
So this was what I believe to be the first event at Summit Point, known as Drift Clinic. I have yet to go to a Drift Clinic event, and missed this one. One of the guys that contributes to the blog Felix was suppose to go but decided to go drunk drifting and fucked his car up and had to give up his spot. This is a video of some of the drifting that took place this weekend i hope to be able to make it to the next event at the end of march and actually be able to give you guys more info on the event and how it was. Here is a short video enjoy, i'm not sure who it is that is making the videos but props to the guy.
